Day 1
Reception at arrival in San Agustín and transfer to the Farm-Hotel near San Agustín. The day is free to hang around town, visit stores, walk the streets and breathe the pure and fresh air of this part of the country. Dinner at the Farm-Hotel.
DAY 2:
Morning tour on horseback to El Tablon where you will visit a small archeological museum managed by expert artisans on Mayan Astrology. The tour continues to the sacred site of CHAQUIRA in the middle of the mountains with a fantastic view of the Magdalena River Canyon. Return on horseback to the Archaeological Park passing through La Pelota, a hill where the latest colored statues of San Agustín were found. Visit to the museum and hiking through Las Mesitas A, B and C, sites with giant stone statues and sacred tombs; the hiking is through the Lavapatas, an indigenous pagan site with a beautiful view over the area and the Forest of the Statues in the midst of the jungle and lush tropical flowers. Dinner and accommodations in the Farm-Hotel near town.
DAY 3 :
Morning rafting on the Magdalena River and tour by the strait of the River Magdalena, where the Great River reaches a minimum width of 2.20 meters; Boarding and dinner at a Farm near town..
DAY 4:
SAN Agustín After lunch you will be taken to the “bus station” to continue the tour to Neiva/Popayan or Laguna Magdalena/Cueva Los Guacharos.
